NASHVILLE—The Fisk University Lady Bulldogs got big games for a number of players as they defeated the Wiley University Lady Wildcats 79-51 in Gulf Coast Action play. The Lady Bulldogs (4-6, 2-1 GCAC) outrebounded the Lady Wildcats (8-4, 3-1 GCAC) 74-28 for the game and had three players with double-digit rebounds.
"I liked the way we played defense and rebounded, but the turnovers are what we still have to work on," said Fisk Head Coach Victoria Crawford of her team's 21 turnovers. "Great team win. We still have work to do."
GCAC Player of the Week Maya Buckhanon again led the way with 26 points and 23 rebounds. Zipporah Davis carried the team early and chipped in 19 points.
