Volley Dogs Travel to Bluff City to Take on Lemoyne-Owen

MEMPHIS (October 21, 2024) – The final week of the Fisk University Lady Bulldog volleyball team is upon us. On Tuesday, the Lady Bulldogs (20-14) will head to Memphis to take on Lemoyne-Owen College (2-15). Fisk defeated LOC 3-0 (25-18, 25-10, and 25-7) at home on September 17. The Lady Bulldogs have been hot ever since, with a 17-8 record since the contest.

Reagan Jones led all attackers with ten kills. Back-up setter Sahnee Dillahunt-Nedd was money serving with fine service aces and only one service error. Liberio Nialah Gupton scooped up a game-high ten digs on the defensive end.

A win would match Fisk's 21-win total for the most in the modern era. This is the ninth match away from home in a row for the Lady Bulldogs.

KEYS TO THE MATCH:

In the first match, Lemoyne Owen played their best set in the first set. Fisk went on a 8-1 run after LOC made it 17-16 to close the set. It will be important for the Lady Bulldogs to start fast in this match and not let Lemoyne get comfortable.
