NASHVILLE (October 29, 2025) - On a night when four members of the Fisk University Lady Bulldog Volleyball Team (25-6) were honored, the team had to play through the emotion of Senior Night in the 3-0 win over Bethel University. Reagan Jones led all attackers with 13 points, including nine kills, three service aces, and two block assists. Kaia Barnett contributed a double-double, tallying 13 assists and ten digs.
In front of friends and family, seniors Nialah Gupton and Delaney Farver didn't disappoint in their final game at Henderson Johnson Arena. Gupton recorded 13 digs, while Farver fortified Fisk's front wall with three of the team's 18 block assists and added four kills of her own. Gupton, Farver, and managers Charis Benjamin and Natasha Veness were the four seniors celebrated before the match, with team members preparing heartfelt speeches for each one. The emotions were palpable throughout the arena.
"Yeah, it wasn't many dry eyes in the house," said Fisk Head Coach Jessice Enderle. "Those four came to Fisk and helped turn the corner for us. We didn't play well, but a win is a win. Bethel has beaten some really good teams this year. I'm happy to finish the home portion of our season strong."
The win is the sixth in the last seven games for Fisk. All six came in straight sets. On Friday, they finish their regular season off with a conference game against host Rust College, and a non-conference match against HBCUAC West Division member Tougaloo College.
