Fisk University Lady Bulldogs Aim for Conference Glory
SHREVEPORT, LA. - The top-seeded Fisk University Lady Bulldogs have enjoyed a banner season, demonstrating remarkable skill and consistency on the court. Their impressive record of 27 total wins, combined with a flawless 10-0 performance in conference play, has earned them the coveted top seed in the HBCU Athletic Conference tournament.
Today, Fisk faces Paul Quinn College in the quarterfinals, entering the matchup with high expectations and momentum from their successful regular season. As they begin their postseason run, the Lady Bulldogs are focused on extending their historic journey and advancing one step closer to securing a championship berth.
Paul Quinn is coached by former Fisk assistant coach Patrick Gonzalez. This will be the first match up between the two teams. They finished the regualr season with a 7-5 record in conference play.
Lady Bulldogs All-Conference Awards – 2025
The Lady Bulldogs capped off their outstanding season with several individual and team honors, celebrating the contributions and excellence of both players and coaching staff.
Major Individual Awards
- Shelby Chamblin was recognized as the Player of the Year, as well as the Newcomer of the Year. Her exceptional performance throughout the season also earned her a spot on the First Team All-Conference.
- For the second consecutive season, Jessica Enderle, head coach of the Lady Bulldogs, was honored as the Head Coach of the Year for her leadership and guidance during this record-setting season.
All-Conference Selections
- Delaney Farver received the Champion of Character award, reflecting her sportsmanship and positive impact both on and off the court.
- Kaia Barnett was named to the Second Team All-Conference, recognizing her important contributions throughout the season.
- Laila Esters also earned a place on the Second Team All-Conference for her consistent play and support of the team.
- Nialah Gupton secured a spot on the First Team All-Conference, celebrating her defensive prowess and leadership.
- Reagan Jones was likewise selected for the First Team All-Conference, acknowledging her offensive strength and impact in key matches.
