Fisk University Lady Bulldogs Return to Conference Finals
SHREVEPORT, LA. - For the second time in three seasons, the Fisk University Lady Bulldogs volleyball team will compete in the conference finals following their straight-set victory over Huston-Tillotson. After enduring a hard-fought five-set win against Paul Quinn on Monday, Fisk entered the semifinals with a renewed sense of determination and focus.
Standout Performances Propel Fisk Forward
All-American Reagan Jones led the way for the Lady Bulldogs, delivering 12 kills and an impressive .435 hitting percentage. Her offensive prowess was a driving force in the team's success. The depth that has defined Fisk's 29-win season continued to be a key asset, as the squad relied on a resilient defensive strategy to limit Huston-Tillotson to a .089 hitting percentage. Laila Esters continued her clutch play with seven kills and a .357 hitting percentage.
Senior Nialah Gupton anchored the back row and spearheaded the defensive effort, recording a team-high 17 digs. Conference Player of the Year Shelby Chamblin maintained her strong postseason performance, registering her second consecutive double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs. The dynamic setting duo of Nebteth Re and Kaia Barnett orchestrated the offense with precision, combining for 31 assists and ensuring balanced play throughout the match.

As the top seed in the conference, Fisk now advances to face second-seeded Dillard University in a highly anticipated championship showdown. Dillard, the defending HBCUAC champions, presents a formidable challenge, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the tournament.
